Indy Roadtrip and First two days of semester.

Last weekend we took the kids to Indy to play hockey. They kind of played like crap. We went 1-3, but it should have been at least 2-2. I think we could have could out with three wins or at least two wins and a tie, but oh well.

My family came out to support my little guys, which was awesome. I got to go to a SouthStars game, where I ran into a kid from my homeroom in highschool. He wouldn’t tell me his name. That’s why he’s dating a high school girl three years after he graduated and I’m… not.

Classes have been all right. Reading everything is harder than it sounds, but I’m keeping up ok so far I think. I had a brief crisis today. I was in an art class that is required for a theater minor, but I then quickly decided that I don’t care about getting a theater minor. I just want to take some of the classes to better prepare myself for being a lawyer, like the voice class and the public speaking class that I’m now enrolled in. I dropped the art class, the workshops, and ultimately the minor itself in the spirit of Mark Twain, who said that “he never let school get in the way of his education.”

I have to pick a movie monologue and a song to perform in my voice class in the next two weeks. Any suggestions will be accepted.

See ya later. Love ya.

Ok, you got me. I never wrote day 365.

This was not an accident.

On that day I pretty much went to a Hawks game and headed home.

The Song of the Day could obligatorily be the “Blankest Year” by Nada Surf.

I thought about writing some big, sappy “I met so many good people…” thing, but let’s be honest. That would only be self-aggrandizing, have a grain of mistruth to it.

So. I’ve decided I will continue to update this space. However. It won’t be everyday. Let’s be honest. It gets repetitive. It’ll be often, just less often than currently.

In sports terms, 2011 was a rebuilding year. Hopefully I’ll have better things to say a year from now (assuming the world doesn’t end). Haha.

Goodnight. Love ya.

Day 364. 1.9.12

I have a new found respect for my mom. I ran errands with her all day and helped her around the house, and I’m beat. She just doesn’t stop! It’s unbelievable!

I saw Date movie. It was good. When we went to Hampton’s I ran into Rachael G. She was one of my best friends in high school. That was cool.

We took down all the Christmas stuff in the house. The living room is back in order. All is right with the world.

Song of the Day: “U Remind Me” by Usher.

Goodnight. Love ya.

Day 363. 1.8.12

We woke up and left Jess with Evrard in milwaukee. Coach and I had lunch at the bagel. At my apartment Mallorie and Sarah made signs for the hand and giggled while I napped on my couch.

The hawks lost, but we did have portillos.

Song of the Day: “I Like The Way You Move” by Outkast.

Day 362. 1.7.12

Plans were changed again, and I woke up to “let’s go to Madison.”

With that, we were off. We stopped at Rob Bradley’s house to get tickets to the game.

Jess and I snuck into the student section at the badger game and had a blast. Some of the stuff the student section does with the band are crazy.

We took a quick tour of campus and heard some funny stories from coach.

We drove most of the way to milwaukee and stayed at a holiday inn express. Insert joke about me being a genius tomorrow.

Song of the Day: “Roadtrippin” by Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Good night. Love ya.

Day 361. 1.6.12

We woke up at a stupid got and had breakfast. We made it a week in Vegas without going to a buffet. Amazing, right?

The flight was smooth. Watched how I met your mother on my iPod.

Back in Indy I had a good meal with my mom and sister. We all caught up on the TV we missed last week.

After a minor stress out about next semester I went to bed.

Song of the Day: “back home again in Indiana”

Day 360. 1.5.12

Today was our last full day. We played Royal Links, which is a collection of holes from the british open.

Coach killed me in skins, but I beat him by a stroke.

We guy the spa and had dinner at the Carnegie Deli. It was good food.

The Terry Fator show was great.

Back at the hotel we packed and hit the tables one more time. Pa was the winner for the evening.

Song of the Day: “Sweet Child of Mine” by Guns ‘n Roses.

Goodnight. Love ya.

Day 359. 1.4.12

Today was good.

We went to the spa in the morning which was a nice jumpstart to the day.

We went to a diner that aunt sandy suggested. It was neon covered and had servers in mini skirts. They utilized the cheerleader effect, but it was still ready.

We went to the pawn shop and I meet Chum Lee. I think he may have been stoned or drunk or both. It was cool to see the set of one of my favorite TV shows.

We went to the Gulden Nugget and broke even on blackjack. This was the beginning of a swing in my luck.

We checked out the shops at the venetian and saw the replica painting of the sistine chapel.

Aunt Sandy meet back up with us at Texas de Brazil. It’s like Fogo de Chao. The only difference was the atmosphere. This place was more relaxed.

Back at the Bay, Coach and I played again. We both won, him more than me, but we were both up for the night. We had a good table where everyone knew what they were doing. Our dealer’s name was Bob.he was a pleasantly plump guy who looks like he’s been in Vegas since the mob ran things.

Song of the Day: “That’s Life” by Frank Sinatra.

Goodnight. Love ya.
